It includes the release of the wolf Fenrir and the serpent Jormungandr, who battle against the gods, led by Odin, Thor, and others. Natural disasters and violent conflicts devastate the cosmos, leading to the death of many deities and the submersion of the world in water. However, a few surviving gods and humans emerge to begin anew, signifying a cyclical view of creation and destruction in Norse mythology.
