Brno Born was founded by Stan Moizis. He was born in the city of Brno in the Czech Republic, hence the name Brno Born. His passion for knives developed early on. At 10 years old, While visiting a historic museum, show casing century old knives and swords, Stan was captivated by the craftsmanship, the attention to detail and the beauty of these ancient weapons. Immediately Stan knew where his passion lied. He began learning how to craft his own knives. By 13 he had crafted his first knife. Now, with 40 years of experience and guidance from other custom knife makers, such as Frank Niro, Stan Moizis has refined his techniques, creating new mechanical designs and tools to assist with crafting high quality automatic knives.
