RMJ Tactical is the creation of Ryan M Johnson, a blacksmith who has been continually refining his trade, refreshing his passion and bringing the best-forged tomahawks on the market. He has over 24 years of experience, not just in forging, but also in the history and practical application of the tomahawk in both a civilian and military aspect. Every design that leaves the shop has been meticulously thought out and planned to provide their customers with the best option their money can buy. One great aspect about the shop is that is a family environment with some of the coolest people around. We love carrying makers such as RMJ because you are not only getting a product from them, but you are also receiving an outstanding customer service guarantee. Whether you are purchasing one of their tools for fun, outdoor use or truly tactical applications, you can rest easy knowing you have bought one of the best pieces of kit on the market and will not fail you when you need it most. Modern day blacksmiths such as Ryan continue to shape steel at their will and push the boundaries of what steel can offer in the end result. Cuddles is Snuggles little sibling, a more compact hammer that can be can be carried on a belt, pack or shoulder strap due to the smaller size and weight. It has been proportionately scaled down from Snuggles to maintain the great balance and usability. This is the modern War Hammer / Breaching Tool and closely follows our mantra, one tool, many tasks. Cuddles combines bad ass looks with formidable capability in one package. Designed with a close-quarters battle (CQB) length of 13 1/4" it can be used in tight areas where traditional longer tools may be less effective. It is a tool ideally suited for a patrol car or emergency vehicle, providing a quick action tool for breaching a door or window. The large 8 5/8" head features a meat tenderizer style end with a tapered beard, and the tail end features a 3 1/8" distal taper spike for puncturing. Cuddles head is assembled with two cheeks, bolted on with three hardened 4140 chrome moly bolts with a tensile strength of 120,000-pounds per square inch each. The pieces are mounted in double shear and the bolts would be acted on together. A 50-ton press would be required to shear it. Repeated impact doesn’t change the situation, Cuddles is extremely overbuilt for a handheld tool. Being a more carry friendly tool than Snuggles, Cuddles includes a molded Kydex Bottom-Eject Scabbard with low ride MOC straps for belt carry. The sheath is compatible with our high ride MOC straps for PALS mounting and also our shoulder strap set up. Specifications:
