The Kestrel Trail Light is the backpackers edition of the original heavy weight Kestrel Trail. This multi-use tomahawk was designed to be fast and light, so it never gets left behind, and weighs just 18oz. At 13" long, it offers full tang construction made from 1/4" 1075 carbon steel with a Tungsten Cerakote finish for corrosion and wear resistance. The Kestrel Trail Light is designed as a heavy use tool and the full tang construction absorbs impact while the hardened striking surface of the head delivers powerful impact force without chipping or shattering. The permanently attached G10 handle scales offer a contoured 3D texture that works great in both wet and dry environments without having an overly aggressive feel. The 3” forward facing edge is razor sharp and is complimented by a hammer poll for hammering tent spikes, ground anchors, or any other tasks that a hammer is called for.
