The Osprey 9 was born out of necessity, the necessity for a camp-kitchen knife that can be carried in a high quality sheath that can be used for a wide range of cutting chores if needed. For who?....The outdoor enthusiast, camper, overlander, and hunter that enjoys a good meal over freeze dried food in a bag! Even if you love reconstituted eggs, the Osprey 9 is tough enough for plenty of other cutting tasks around camp! Ok, so you don't like fresh air, the Osprey 9 will be your favorite companion in the kitchen too! The Osprey 9 is made from Sandvik 14C28N Stainless Steel, 14C28N offers a high level of toughness, stain resistance, edge retention and possibly most important, it is fairly easy to sharpen. A knife away from home is no good if you can't put a field expedient edge on it! The blades are stonewashed for an easy to maintain finish. There are 3 colors of G10 handles to chose from, and the handles can be easily removed for cleaning. We include a no B.S. a ambidextrous kydex sheath with a 1.5" belt/pocket clip, not some flimsy edge cover!
